Christine M. Allen, Ph.D.
Professional coaching involves a relationship between a coach and client that is focused on
designing a future rather than solving a problem or getting over the past. Coaching helps people
develop the lives and work they truly want, claim their unique strengths and gifts, and move
toward balance and fulfillment.
As a coach, Chris partners with clients on a journey of identifying goals for the future and
exploring and mapping out ways for those goals to become a reality. Chris will ask helpful,
powerful questions, encourage action, provide honest feed back and, when appropriate, give
specific suggestions. Through these methods, coaching helps individuals create truly meaningful
and deeply fulfilling lives.
By drawing on both her personal and professional experience, as well as her education and
training, Chris helps clients tap into their own inner brilliance and move them toward a more
rewarding and successful life. As a coach, she is able to be objective in helping her clients stay
focused on their chosen path, while remaining subjective in her solid support and caring for each
client as a person.
“Coaching is an ongoing relationship, which focuses on clients taking action toward the realization
of their visions, goals, or desires. Coaching uses a process of inquiry and personal discovery to build
the client’s level of awareness and responsibility and provides the client with structure, support, and
feedback. The coaching process helps clients both define and achieve professional and personal goals
faster and with more ease than would be possible otherwise.” (International Coach Federation, from
their website, www.coachfederation.org)
